Antique and Flea Market

If you’re looking for a thrifty bargain or just a general fun day of rummaging you can’t go much wrong with Ludlow’s Antique and Flea Market in Castle Square. Taking place on a regular monthly basis the market is a great place to find hidden treasures that you wouldn’t get anywhere else.
The last time that I stopped by I managed to grab myself a pair of matching brass candlesticks for a mere £12 which were later valued at over £150 when I discovered they were actually Georgian.
Everything from vintage clothing to furniture and old toys, this is an Aladins cave for any thriftier, tightwad or somebody looking for that one piece that will deliver more character to your home.

Ludlow Castle

2010-10-01 6:00 pm

Ludlow castle is one of the most complete medieval castles of its kind in the whole country. Rivaling that of the Yorkshire Connisbrough castle, the castle was originally a Norman fortress and later became home to the likes of the Mortimer families and the Duke of York.
Since 1811 the castle has been owned by the Earls of Powis.
With regular fairs and events within the castle grounds and an array of gift shops and talks the venue is the perfect family day out if you are looking for something good and fun to do in Ludlow.
